Plate/iron worker

We are looking for an experienced and skilled ironworker for challenging work within the shipbuilding and ship repair industry. As an ironworker, you will be responsible for installing and removing plates, preparing welds (orders), and working within section construction and installing trusses. The work is diverse and takes place both indoors and outdoors, depending on the project within the company. It is also possible to apply for this position as a Zzp'er.
For this position, experience with cutting burning, gouging, and using a grinder is crucial. In addition, you must be proficient in electrode welding, as you will regularly perform welding work on ship structures. You will play an important role in ensuring the structural integrity and repair of ships.

Wat wij zoeken
- Installation and removal of steel plates by cutting burning and/or gouging.
- Preparation of welds (bevels) and proper application of electrode welding.
- Work within section construction and installation of trusses for structural construction of ships.
- Very precise work with a grinder for smoothing and preparing workpieces.
- Perform repairs and new construction work within shipbuilding, both interior and exterior.
- Collaborate with welders and other professionals to ensure quality and safety of work.
Wat wij vragen
- Demonstrated experience as an ironworker within shipbuilding or ship repairs.
- Experience in sheet placement and removal by cutting burning and/or gouging.
- Proficient in electrode welding and preparation of welds (bevels).
- Experience with section construction and rafter installation is a requirement.
- Good command of working with a grinder and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards within shipbuilding and willingness to work in a variety of working conditions (indoor and outdoor).
- In possession of a VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
